Agreement


The verb agrees with the subject according to person and number. Cornish has an impersonal form of the verb which is often translated by using the pronoun "one" as the subject, or by using the passive voice.
godhor one knows, it is known
gwerthir one sells, it is sold
kewsir one speaks, it is spoken

Person and number are indicated in the book in the following order:
kowsav, kewsydh, kews,
kewsyn, kewsowgh, kewsons,
kewsir

I speak, you speak, (s)he speaks,
we speak, you speak, they speak,
one speaks/it is spoken

If no form exists for a particular person and number, hyphens will indicate this:
