Derivatives


Prefixes are often added to the verb to change its meaning further. The prefix om-, which causes the soft or the second state mutation, makes a verb reflexive or reciprocal.

For example:
praysya (to praise) becomes ombraysya (to show off)
golghi (to wash) becomes omwolghi (to wash oneself)
govyn (to ask) becomes omwovyn (to wonder)
hedhi (to stop) becomes omhedhi (to abstain)
kelmi (to bind) becomes omgelmi (to log on)
kudha (to hide, transitive) becomes omgudha (to hide, intransitive)
kussulya (to advise) becomes omgussulya (to consult, to discuss)
tenna (to pull) becomes omdenna (to retire, to withdraw)
tewlel (to throw) becomes omdewlel (to wrestle)
